Welcome to Zubit’s happy hikers in Las Terrenas, Samana, Dominican Republic.
We are Zuby and Edit and together we are Zubit! We are two friends who love hiking and nature.
We organise happy hikers and show you the hidden treasures of our hills and beaches surrounding Las Terrenas and beyond.
We were both on an excursion to Los Haitises and started talking about how much we love walking in the woods, enjoying the nature and tranquility and at the same time getting some exercise.
Since that moment we’ve started hiking in and around Las Terrenas and each time our friends would join us until we were hiking 2 or 3 times a week.
We have made some great friends during our time hiking and look forward to making friends with you.
Our hikes are between 6 to 15 kilometers in the mornings usually until 1 or 2 o’clock in the afternoon, enough time for you to relax in the afternoons.
Edit – I’m originally from Holland and have been living in Las Terrenas for over 30 years.
I am an official guide and I speak Spanish, Dutch, English, German and French.
Zuby – I moved to Las Terrenas at the end of 2018 from UK.
Walking around Las Terrenas town and surrounding area was my way of getting to know the town, beaches and the hills of Las Terrenas.
